Each spring, the metropolitan area celebrates the 1912 gift from Tokyo of 3,000 cherry trees given to the people of Washington, DC. While you are in town, you are encouraged to enjoy the spirit of the season. The 2006 National Cherry Blossom Festival® will occur March 25— April 9.
