Welcome to the National Cancer Institute's Cancer Information Service 30th Anniversary National Meeting Web site. This site provides important information to facilitate your meeting participation.

Meeting Overview

The meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda Hotel in Bethesda, MD. The official meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, in the Crystal Ballroom and will adjourn at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31. Partnership Program Coordinators and non-key staff Spirit of the CIS awardees will adjourn Thursday, March 30, at 12:00 noon. The morning of the first day, Tuesday, March 28, will feature program area sessions for the Principal Investigators and Program Directors, Partnership Program Managers, Partnership Program Coordinators, Contact Center Managers, Content Specialists, Training Managers, and Senior Research Coordinators. These sessions are scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Locations will be noted on signage at the hotel and provided in the agenda on the meeting Web site. Other invited guests are not expected to attend program area sessions and should plan to join the meeting at 1:00 p.m., the official meeting start time.

Please note three important deadlines:

(1) Registration for ALL attendees must be completed by Monday, March 13, 2006

(2) For meeting participants with overnight accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda Hotel, the Day Meeting Package fee will be assessed upon check-in at the hotel. For overnight guests staying at another hotel, this fee is payable and due to the hotel by Monday, March 13, 2006. Specific instruction can be found under the Day Meeting Package fee section in your invitation letter. Please note, this fee is based on the number of days you are in attendance at the CIS Meeting and is not prorated for partial day attendance.

(3) Hotel reservations must be made by Monday, March 13, 2006 by the participant, in order to access the special room rate that has been negotiated for this meeting. After that date, sleeping rooms may not be available.
