A special rate of $209 per night (plus applicable tax – currently 16%) has been arranged for the NIH Summit. There are a limited number of rooms available at the special rate. Please make your reservations directly with the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center and mention NIH Summit to receive the reduced rate.
Reservations will be accepted until Friday, November 21, 2008. After that cutoff date, reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis, and the NIH Summit rate is not guaranteed. All individual reservations must be accompanied by 1 night's deposit plus tax or guaranteed by a major credit card (Hotel will charge the attendee's credit card for 1 night's stay prior to arrival.) Deposits are only refundable for cancellations occurring 2 days prior to arrival.
NOTE: A daily resort fee, currently $15.00, will be added to the guestroom rate. This fee will cover several in-room amenities, which at the time of check-in will include:
- Wired and wireless high-speed Internet access
- Fitness Center access
- Designated complimentary in-room beverages
- Daily newspaper
- Local and toll-free telephone calls (20 minutes per call)
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. local time. Checkout time is 12:00 p.m. local time. Anyone checking out after 12:00 p.m. local time may incur late charges. Special arrangements can be made for late checkouts based on availability, and/or luggage can be stored for individuals with later departures.
Ground Transportation
The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center covers 41.7 acres along the banks of the Potomac River in Prince George's County, Maryland. Situated at the foot of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, Gaylord National lies just off I-95 on the Capital Beltway at the I-295 interchange.
The Gaylord National Resort is just a 15-minute drive from Reagan Washington National Airport and within a 45-minute drive from Dulles International and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airports.
