A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved at the Bethesda Marriott Hotel for arrival on Sunday, May 6, 2007, and departure on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. You will be responsible for making your own hotel reservations at the hotel by calling (301) 897-9400.  Please provide the meeting reservation code, "NCI Vitamin D & Cancer," in order to receive the daily room block rate of $188.00 plus tax. Reservations must be made by Friday, March 30, 2007, in order to receive this rate. Guest room and group rate availability cannot be guaranteed after the cut-off date. All charges, including room tax and incidental expenses (e.g., valet services, room service, telephone calls, and gratuities), will be due upon checkout.

The Bethesda Marriott Hotel is about 30 minutes from Reagan Washington National Airport and about 50 minutes from Dulles and Baltimore/Washington.

By Taxi:  Taxi fare from Reagan Washington National Airport to the Bethesda Marriott Hotel is approximately $21.00, from Dulles is $40.00, and from BWI Marshall is approximately $52.00.

 By Shuttle:  SuperShuttleTM provides ground transportation service from all three airports.  For more information and to make a reservation in advance, call 1-800-258-3826.  The approximate cost for one-way shuttle service from each airport is:

Reagan National             $17.00

BWI Marshall                   $24.00

By Metro:  The Metrorail Yellow Line stops at Reagan Washington National Airport.  Take the Yellow Line to the Gallery Place/Chinatown Station in Washington, D.C.  Upon arrival at Gallery Place/Chinatown, transfer to the Red Line train marked Shady Grove or Grosvenor, and exit at the Medical Center Station.  The one-way fare is approximately $2.70.  The Bethesda Marriott Hotel has complimentary shuttle service from the Medical Center Station.  The hotel shuttle runs every 45 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 12 noon and 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The hotel shuttle runs on a modified schedule on the weekends.  

By Automobile (from area airports):

Reagan Washington National Airport—Take the George Washington Parkway to I-495 north, to Exit 34 south.  Turn right at traffic light onto Pooks Hill Road.  The hotel is on the right.

Dulles—Take the Dulles Access Road to I-495 north to Exit 34 south.  Follow signs to Route 355.  Turn right at traffic light onto Pooks Hill Road.  The hotel is on the right.

BWI Marshall—Take the Baltimore/Washington Parkway (I-295) to I-195, then take I-95 south to I-495 west.  Exit at the Rockville/Bethesda exit.  Stay in the right lane.  At the light, turn left.  Turn right onto Pooks Hill Road at the next light.  The hotel is on the right.
