CMS/ITU Outreach & Education Event Overview
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) maintains its commitment to maximize American Indian/Alaska Native access to Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) through consultation with Tribes, culturally competent outreach and education, and other specific programs.
The goal of the CMS/Indian Health Service Facilities, Tribally Operated 638 Health Programs, and Urban Indian Health Programs (ITU) Outreach & Education Event is to improve services to beneficiaries and aid in increasing the revenue stream to ITU programs by providing Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP information to beneficiary advocates.
