Dear Friends,
The Administration for Children and Families/Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) looks forward to seeing you at our national consultation from May 28–29, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. This year’s consultation theme is “Consultation, Coordination, and Collaboration.” The event will focus on bringing ORR stakeholders together for concrete discussions and exchanges of ideas on issues of importance to the refugee resettlement community.
This consultation will play a key role in increasing coordination and communication between Federal, State, and nonprofit partners on issues of interest including refugee health, child welfare, human trafficking, affordable housing, employment, education, language acquisition, citizenship, and self-sufficiency, among others. As an important leader in the resettlement community, I know you want to keep abreast of the latest developments and believe our consultation will help you do just that. You will also have the opportunity to share your program successes, challenges, ideas, and questions regarding refugee resettlement.
