INFORMATION FOR SPEAKERS

We look forward to your presentation during the inaugural National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing & Media, scheduled for August 29-30, 2007 at the GCC in Atlanta, GA. Listed below is important information that will be helpful in preparing your presentation.

Presentation Requirements

When registering onsite, please visit the Speaker Registration Desk to receive additional information that will facilitate your presentation, including session location and presentation uploading instructions.

PowerPoint slides should be presented for uploading 45 minutes prior to your presentation time. Acceptable media formats include:

  • Memory stick/Flash/USB Drive (Preferred)
  • CD
  • Personal computer or MAC
  • Audio Visual Equipment
    The following audio-visual equipment will be provided in each session:

  • Panel Table
  • Podium with Microphone
  • Wireless Handheld Microphone
  • Laptop
  • LCD Projector
  • Projector Screen
  • Flip Chart and Markers
  • Abstract Submission Guidelines

    For those presenting as part of a breakout session, you have been asked to submit an abstract. Abstracts will be published as conference proceedings for all conference guests. Note: Panelists for the Advancing Public Health Workshops should not submit abstracts.

    The abstract text must contain no more than 500 words, in total. The abstract text should be divided into separate paragraphs corresponding to the following headings:

  • Title
  • Author Name
  • Co-Authors Name
  • Learning Objective(s)
  • Description of presentation
  • Please submit your abstract as a Microsoft Word file to sgreenwood@blseamon.com. When Emailing your abstract, please use "Speaker Abstract" as the subject line. Abstract submissions must be received by Wednesday, August 15. Abstracts received after this deadline cannot be guaranteed inclusion in the conference proceedings.
