Purpose

This FREE forum will showcase the work of the NHIN Cooperative, including demonstrations, experiences, and lessons learned from the Trial Implementations, including:

  • Defining specifications based upon the work of HITSP and standards development organizations to facilitate interoperable data exchange among the participants
  • Testing conformance and test interoperability against these specifications
  • Developing trust agreements among NHIN participants to support a framework for trust and protect the information exchanged
  • Learning from the experiences to prepare for production
